Mat Leave and Hormones

Four Months Left…

While this is still a long way to go, it goes by faster each day… I’m battling each busy day trying to get things done and trying to savor each moment with my growing babies.

I should be happy because I’m so lucky to live in a country that looks after the well being of its people. Unlike any other country we have twelve to eighteen months of maternity leave. What does this mean? Aside from having the luxury of recovery time (especially for c-section mamas like me) and getting paid the whole time, we also get to bond with our babies! We have the privilege to witness their month to month milestones until they reach their first birthday. This also promotes breastfeeding!

But sometimes we (women, mothers most especially) can’t help that hormones get in the way and feel emotional about everything. But really, I’m still so grateful. Let this be a venting sesh for now. One day at a time. Sigh.
